Connect Black Butte Ranch with Sisters

I am strongly in favor of a paved path connecting Black Butte Ranch with Sisters. As a homeowner and an avid cyclist I make frequent trips to Sisters, many of those on bicycle. I go there to shop, run errands, meet friends, and visit the library. What a special ride it would be to be away from traffic. Many of our family members and guests arrive at Black Butte Ranch with bicycles. To change from driving a car to walking more and biking more during their stay is one reason they are here. Many riders wish to ride to Sisters, but not on Highway 20. We'd like to have our children and grandchildren do a 8 mile ride in a safe path to Sisters.

My husband, Mike Armstrong, and I travel extensively for the purpose of outdoor recreation, particularly bicycling. Whenever possible our car is parked and we use our bicycles for exploring and for practical purposes. We would like to have our Black Butte owners their families and guests have the opportunity to walk and ride into town to shop, eat, and even access the two Oregon Scenic Bikeways that originate in Sisters.
